Update for you December 13, 2002
This update has Both Michee's and Victoria's responses from thier first "Day Out" together.
I just decided at the last minute to take victoria on a special day out. it was hard because of the voice and constantly thinking I was with hubby and so on...it was actually a great
experiance for the both of us. what I will tell you is that there was a young girl in a shoppe who asked us if we were playing dress up. Cause of course I was in jeans and a lazy shirt with no make up and so on
while Victoria was dressed to the hilt. We explained what was going on and it took her a while but she warmed up and can't wait to meet some of the other ladies when we have kadee's party. It was very scary for me.
we only went 30 min away and to a town small that everyone goes to well I guess its because its christmas and I recognized several people when I wouldn't recognize anyone. We got some looks and I didn't care we held
hands and I was so
uncomfortable.....not about victoria but about me that she was all dressed up and I was in jeans and a lousy shirt! . It was hard because I walk very fast anyway with him and I had to learn how to walk slow so she wouldn't feel like I didn't want to be seen with her. and everytime she talked I had to remind her to lower her voice. she asked me later if she presented her manerisms very well and I said exept for the voice I didn't pay attention. I accepted you for you not the way you walked or talked the talking just threw me off and thats why I mentioned it.
Michee :)
I must admit that I was very nervous and almost didn't go. But I'm glad that I did!!! I had alot of fun and got to see the reactions of a lot of people. I didn't hear any derogatory
responses but you should have seen the looks (guess I haven't reached the stage where people can't tell that I'm not really a woman). We went to the beauty salon and I got my hair cut into a femme style. That is
where the nervousness really hit me, had trouble keeping my self in the chair (felt like running away). But everyone there made it a real good experienceand even the owner who know said he wasn't really sure if I
was a man or a woman so he didn't say anything until we brought it up. After that we decided to go to the mall and visit a mac counter for a makeover and the ladies at the counter treated me just like any other lady
it was great got a few tips on how to apply makeup and also what colors to wear to make me look good. Then we went and got my ears pierced.
At the store while getting my ears pierced they were busy and I offered to wait so they good do some of the others but they said no even though a couple people left the store because
I was there. The girl said oh well they can always go to another store if they didn't like it.
We also met another young lady in a store and she asked if we were just playing dress up and we said no and explained everything to her. Afterwards she seemed to accept the idea and
had no proplem with helping us. All in all I must say it was a wonderful night. I got to wear my new dress, (that michee bought me for xmas) got pampered a little bit,and had a very wonderful time out just us
girls. Now I guess I need to work on the voice though. Had trouble keeping it in tune with who I was trying to portray. A very big give away. Thanks for listening
Victoria*
the only mistake we made that night is not buying film to take pictures. The best part of the entire night is that I kept saying Merry Hanukkah to Victoria. She kept saying stop
doing this because I don't have a present for you and we won't have any money left to buy one if you keep it up. So I answered her tonight giving you a night out and you enabling me to share it with you....is the
best present I could ever wish for.
If you would like to email me on your first experience out please do so. Michee
