Let's start with a few photos from Summer, 2004:

I guess boys aren't supposed to grow up dreaming about a dress. But I've imagined myself in a gown just like this one, and it finally became a reality for Reno Coronation 2002.

The dress came from
I Love It in Fremont, CA. Owner Jo-An is absolutely wonderful, and her new 6,000-square-foot store (warehouse, really) is a CD's dream.

This is it, gang; it's as good as I can look. (Thanks to Reno's Mia Amen for the makeup artistry!)

danastand72OK, We'll start with an old one; about my third time ever dressed, and a bit on the shy side...

sfposeSaturday night at California Dreamin' 1998 in San Francisco! I really like this ensemble. Don't know why the photo makes my nose look like a golf ball. (It's actually shaped more like a football.)

CloseupA rather nice closeup, I think. But as I write this (9/1999), I realize that I seem to have left my ``Jet Black Hair Period" behind.

...and another closeup. This one about 18 months after the one above, and done by a different makeup artist in Leona's Hidden Woman shop.  This was a really different look for me. (And see that arched eyebrow? That's what pulling your forehead skin back with tape does! ``Instant Facelift!")

This one is a long-time favorite, especially for ``admirers" who stop by TG-Forum Chat. This was taken in fall 1999. My legs have never looked that good, before or since! (Must be the light.)

This is my dress for the 1999 Reno Coronation!  Incredibly beautiful, and I felt wonderful as I walked up the runway to meet Reno's Empress, Crystal Towers-Jar.  (There are several pages of photos from Coronation on this Website! If you click here, I'll open that page in a new browser window for you. Experience our ``virtual Coronation," then just close that window to return here!)

Too nice a dress to only wear once, don't you think?

SO, I used it again for Coronation 2000! Here's a photo from that great night  >>>

OK, I admit it. I love boots! The higher the boot, and the higher the heel, the better. Here are three of my favorites:

boot3

These are soft, leather-like vinyl with a 4-inch heel. From Sears! I'll never make fun of them again...

These gorgeous leather boots had a 5-inch spike. Trouble is, they were just too painful to wear! I sold them thru a consignment shop; I understand a Reno drag queen owns them now.

These fantastic platform heels came from Pierre Silber in San Jose, in September 1999. They come up over the knee. Look and feel fantastic!

How about Halloween? In 2000, I headed for Reno for just the second H'ween out ever, and the first in three years.  I went out as CHER, and here's a couple of pix, taken at the El Dorado Casino/Hotel:

Closeup of the Cher makeup and hair. That's a Danskin flesh-toned leotard covering up my chest and arms; it worked very well!

The wig is Hidden Woman's ``Godiva," which is about 3 feet long.

The outfit included a PVC bustier and gloves; those platform boots again, rhinestone jewelry and a beautiful beaded shawl, which I used as a skirt.

...I tend to go a bit crazy now that I have a digital camera. There will always be more to come! (Don't miss the ones in the Reno Events section!)

And here's a page of photos from my June 29, 2000 night out in Los Angeles!
